Things to Do
Villa Asta’s manager will have a wealth of information about nearby places of interest and will help arrange transport and make any bookings required. Do also ask the staff about the local area. Many of them live nearby and will be able to give an interesting insight into some of the fascinating aspects of Bali life.
In the meantime, here is a taste of the many and varied activities on offer within reach of the villa.
A leisurely stroll from the villa brings you to Batubelig Beach, where locals gather to watch the sun melt into the horizon. Settle into a beanbag at a seaside bar, sip a cold drink, and enjoy the easy rhythm of Bali life as waves lap the shore.

Families can spend the day at Mrs Sippy Bali, a lively beach club just fifteen minutes from the villa that welcomes kids until late afternoon. Parents can unwind on shaded daybeds with cocktails and light bites while children splash in the vast saltwater lagoon, leap from the one-, three-, or five-metre diving platforms, or drift happily on floating beanbags as music plays softly in the background.
Another must-visit nearby beach club is the sustainability-driven Desa Potato Head, where sun-down sipping, ocean-side lounging and eco-friendly design merge. The club was recognized in 2025 for its “Good Times, Do Good” ethos and zero-waste credentials.

Make the 45-minute pilgrimage to Pura Tanah Lot, a famous temple perched on a dramatic rocky outcrop off Bali’s west coast, most visited at sunset. In the know visitors prefer early mornings with calmer crowds and a truly spiritual setting.
Style-savvy guests can wander into the heart of Seminyak, where a cosmopolitan enclave of chic boutiques, designer labels and international dining awaits.

Drive west to explore the lush landscapes of Tabanan Regency: terraced rice fields, volcanic vistas and black-sand beaches offer a more agrarian counterpoint to the villa’s lively beach corridor.
For a full day adventure, head north to the mountainous region around Bedugul and experience cooler temperatures, serene mountain lakes, and the stunningly positioned Pura Ulun Danu, one of Bali’s most important temples.

Waterbom Bali, the island’s legendary water park, is a fun day for kids and adults alike. The 3.8 hectare park is packed with adrenaline-pumping slides, splash zones, and a relaxing lazy river that winds through tropical gardens. Spend the day racing down high-speed chutes, floating beneath palm trees, and sharing laughter over ice cream between rides. Just be sure to arrive early to make the most of the fun.
When not dining in-villa, you’ll find standout high-end restaurants such as Merah Putih (Indonesian fine dining in a stunning setting), Uma Garden (wood-fired cuisine in an elegant, glass-roofed greenhouse) and Mama San (elevated Pan-Asian street food and a stylish bar).
